Creating a successful wellness business doesn’t happen overnight – but you already know that. When you’re trying to make your wellness business thrive, there are so many places you can start, and even more ways to get stuck. It’s easy to go off-course, chasing shiny objects and pursuing avenues that seem promising, but lead you to dead ends. If you’re struggling to get out of the mud, don’t give up. There is so much more in store for you.

Why Are You Stuck?

The health and wellness industry is full of amazing people who share the same passion: helping others become the best possible version of themselves. Through fitness, nutrition, health and lifestyle choices, we’ve found a way to live that truly embodies an excitement for life. The ability and desire to share this knowledge with others is what makes us exceptional, and is no doubt what led you to begin this journey.

Having a good grasp on your niche is an obvious first step in the process of building a wellness brand, but is not nearly enough. So many of us have gotten that well-deserved degree or certification, only to realize we were still only at the starting line. Having a deep passion for the work you have chosen to do, and the drive to make it happen are essential.

Many people think that being an “expert” in their field is enough. We get the degree, the certificate, and believe the rest will follow. Soon enough, it becomes quite clear that nobody floats alone, even in their own pond. There are other fish – other experts, other leaders who know the things you know and do the things you do. The true power is finding what sets you apart from the rest of the fish. And do you know what that is? It’s YOU.

So, when wellness know-how and determination only take you so far, what is the next step? Sales, marketing and communications are not skills that we are all born with (and can you imagine what a ruckus the world would be if we were?), and are rarely covered during nutrition courses. But here, in our profession, they are essential.

How can we bring your Wellness Business to life?

There is no crash course that’s going to teach you what you need to know to grow a purposeful and financially successful wellness business. I so wish there was, because it would have saved me years of frustration. I spent so long trading time for money, and eventually burning out because I didn’t realize the best way to nurture my dream – until I did.

I want to help you avoid that anguish, by sharing the knowledge that my experience has brought me. My personal experience of coaching thousands of wellness professionals has given me all of the tools necessary to expand any wellness business into a successful, fun-filled and joyful endeavor. If we work together, I can show you how to enjoy the journey of creating something that is exciting, fulfilling and successful.

My mission is to help you heal your business, from the roots. We are going to nurture your vision, and breathe new life into your process. I am going to give you the tools I wish I’d had from the beginning, that took me years of experience to grasp.

Reviving your Wellness Business starts here

As it is in the world of health and wellness, what works best for one patient or client will not always work well for the next. The business you are trying to heal is no exception.

Your business is unique to your desires and goals, and it should reflect and embody YOU, more than anything else. Your business strategy should be built around your core values, your beliefs and desires. It’s about building a bridge from who (and where) you are to who you want to be, and where you want to see your business go.

Through my proven coaching and mentoring system, we will identify the underlying causes of your business’s suffering. We’ll reevaluate your business model, focusing on five major pillars, so we can turn what you love into something incredible. Resetting your Messaging, Marketing, Manifesto and Mantra will help you find your Mojo. We will find the magic you need to make your business work, ultimately leading you to manifest the life you’ve dreamed of.

It’s my goal to help you find what you need to start and grow a purposeful and financially successful business. Together, we will turn what you love into something even more meaningful – a tangible and lucrative product you can be proud of.

Why your MINDSET matters

The very first step to building your success is to really, truly believe in yourself (cue eye roll). The concept of self confidence is something that kitten calendars in first grade classrooms have been screaming for decades. It is so overused and overplayed, that most of us dismiss the thought without so much as a shrug. But I am here to tell you that belief in yourself, and in your mission, is the foundation for your success. Yes, really.

Self doubt, and fear of failure, hold so many of us back from doing what we truly desire. Thinking you are not good enough, not smart enough, or just not “enough” for something will immediately cripple you. But you have worked hard to get to where you are, and you deserve to be here. And you should know, you deserve even more.

When knowing your niche (be it nutrition, wellness, integrative healing or fitness, whatever it is you do really well) is not enough, you must recognize and establish your purpose with authority. In the wellness industry, people are not going to trust you because you are telling them

something they want to hear. They will believe in you when they see how much you believe in yourself and your message.

Believing in yourself, and living in that mindset, is the first step to helping your clients to believe in you. When they see someone who is living their own dream, they realize “Hey, this is possible.” It’s possible to do something you love, and to be successful doing it.

So many people assume that building a successful career doing what they love to do is a pipe dream. It’s almost a scenario that is “too good to be true.” For such a long time, I believed this myself. I loved to help others succeed, to build something incredible and set it free. But how could this ever be something that would pay my mortgage? Put food on the table?

For years, I worked in the corporate world, trading time for money, to the point that I truly burned out. I was suffocating my passion by ignoring my instincts to refusing to acknowledge my purpose. I was afraid to walk away from my job, and pursue what I knew I was meant to do. Then one day, I realized I’d had enough, and believed – truly – that I was meant for something better, and that I could make my dream a reality.

This is meant for YOU

You already know that what you have to share is important, or you wouldn’t have felt the desire to pursue it. So why question your ability to deliver it?

Ask yourself this question: Why did you start your business? To make money doing something you love, sure. But I’m willing to bet the real reason you started this process is because you wanted to make a difference. You want to help others get healthy, stay healthy and really start living their best life. And you knew that you were the person who could make it happen.

Nobody in the wellness industry gets here by accident. At one point, we all had a moment where we decided it was time to take control. Do you remember the moment you decided it was time to pursue wellness? Do you remember how you felt? Let’s go back to that moment.

In that “AHA!” moment, you realized and wholeheartedly believed that this was what was going to turn your life around, this was going to make the change you needed to start living. I am asking you to apply that same belief, that same assuredness, to your business process. You already know that what you are preaching works. You know it can change lives. Now, it is up to you to reach the people whose lives need that same change, and to help them find you.

Decide to take charge of your success, the way you took charge of your health. Your wellness business is a direct extension of yourself. You’ve poured your heart and soul into making it something you can stand behind. Your strengths and your core values are the very seeds that your business grew from.

Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. I know it’s scary, but it’s a risk that you have to take.

But, what if..?

The possibility of failure should not make you fearful. Instead, let it excite you. It should make you hungry for your next shot, your next chance to completely nail it and get it just right. I’ve lost count of the number of times I tried something and then said, “Well, that didn’t work.” But I’ve also lost count of the valuable learning experiences that came of those stumbles, and I’m so thankful for them.

I always make it a point to reflect after a “failure”. What did I learn here, and how will it change me for the better? It’s important to embrace a failure as an obstacle – not a dead end. There is always something to be learned from an endeavor gone awry, and changing your mindset to view them as opportunities can change the whole game.

There will be struggles, there will be obstacles. What fun would life be, if we just coasted through it all the time? What matters is how you receive those challenges. That’s right, it’s about embracing the things that make the journey one that is your own.

By taking a safe path, and avoiding all the bumps in the road, you allow your journey to be led by those who have already gone before. This is how so many people fall into the void, or into line with all the others in their field.

Taking the safe path, the set path, does no favors to your journey. When you accept your obstacles, you gain power over them, but also from them. You begin carving and entirely new path, one of your own. Those who want a break from what they’ve seen a million times before will take the road less traveled – and that can be your road!

Now, let’s get started. For real, this time!

There is no shame in asking for guidance through your process. As someone who has been involved in health and wellness, you must know by now: it’s ok to have help! After all, you probably began your journey with the help of a dietician, fitness instructor, or maybe even just a gym buddy to hold you accountable. When you have a “tribe,” a community of supporters who want you to succeed, it gives you the extra boost you need to reach the next rung in your climb to success.

My intention in my work is to be of service. I want to share my experiences with you, so you realize you are not alone in this adventure, in your search for what works. I want to help you realize what’s best for your business – not tell you what to do or how to run it. I don’t know your business, or your intentions, half as well as you do – yet. But I want to get there! Maybe you are

not yet sure what your business model is, or maybe you established it long ago. Perhaps you are just “stuck,” and need to figure out how to keep moving upward.

If you’re ready to take the next step (and I think you are, don’t you?), you’re already in the right place. Let’s start with a free 30-minute consultation call, and get on the way to enriching your wellness brand legacy.

I’m not here to tell you this is going to be easy. I’m here to tell you it’s possible, and it’s already happening. I’m here to tell you it is going to take a lot of faith in yourself, dedication to the process, and a major amount of guts. But I’m also here to tell you it is going to be worth it. I am here as living, breathing proof that you can do what you love, and you can be good at it. Scratch that, you can be GREAT. You can be successful and you can be happy, all without sacrificing who you are. Now, let’s get started to make your vision a true reality.
